WHY STORYTELLING CAMP?
Storytelling is our most powerful tool for effective communication. We live our lives through a network of stories. People crave, remember, and honor stories.
Each of us has the power to tap into our stories, our narrative assets, to become better communicators—to entertain, to share our history and culture, to spread knowledge, to persuade, to advance a cause, to teach, to dream a vision of the future.
Storytelling Camp was founded to share compelling stories of the full scope of our culture, history, values, tales, challenges, experiences and aspirations. Through the performing arts–theater, music and dance, we hope to sustain the connective tissue of our culture, add to the conversation about our identities and nurture the artists in our midst. Just as importantly, we aim to be a cultural project that forges social and communal bonds and builds bridges of understanding within our communities.
